Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL. What’s going on folks? If you just want to say ‘what’s up?’ then definitely leave some comments down below. Today I’ve collaborated once again with my friend Andrea from SavingJoyfully.com. And like last year we talk about where you can get the best deals on video games or perhaps any other electronic devices for this holiday season. There are a lot of great deals out there this year. The best advice I can give you is where ever you go just keep it to one store. Going all over place on Black Friday (or Thursday) isn’t healthy. Spending time with your friends and loved ones is healthy. Just remember (if you are in the US anyway) that this is the time of year to give thanks. Anyway Andrea will take it away from here. I’ll be back at the end with my top picks on what the big three brands are doing and perhaps where to go. Check out Andrea’s website. If you are trying to be frugal look no further.

Holiday sales can be a great time to get some great deals. Video games and systems can also be found on sale for some awesome prices during these sales. To get some of these awesome prices you just have to do some strategic planning to find the best deals.

Justin and I collaborated last year on another post where I shared some great suggestions on saving money during Black Friday shopping. In this post I shared some advice similar to this post yet today’s post will also include links to some of the Black Friday 2019 holiday ads. Checking the ads and planning can help you save way more than just on games and gaming accessories as well. It can help stretch your entire holiday budget. As a result, this can save you way more for future gaming purchases.

I also created a post over on SavingJoyfully.com last year where I discussed ways to save money on all of your holiday shopping. If you are interested in more tips like this, I welcome you to check it out after you read today’s post.

Saving Money on video games, accessories and gaming systems

Today I am collaborating once again with Justin once again to share my best tips on saving money this holiday season for those who love video games. A lot of these tips can help save money overall on many other items also but will work great for gaming purchases.

So where are the best deals on video games and gaming systems?

The best deals on video games and gaming systems can be found in multiple places. A few of my favorites are listed below with links

Black Friday sales are a great place to start your shopping for many items, especially video games and electronics. A few of the best Black Friday sales on these items are at the following retailers. I have included links for their Black Friday ads below.

When are the best holiday sales and how can I save more?

Black Friday is a great time to get some of the better deals on these specific items however, there are other great sales afterward. In fact, some people argue that they have found better sales after Black Friday and have returned Black Friday purchases to get a better deal. If you are not a big fan of Black Friday shopping you might do just as well during the sales after the holiday weekend.

Other ways to save money on video games and game systems

  •  Download some rebate or cash back apps
  •  Buy used games
  • Sell games once you are done with them
  • Try camel camel camel
  • Replaying games and not buying new games is another important way to save money. A great game is a great game no matter what and can be fun even if you have played it a lot.
  • Wait till the game has been out a while before you buy it. Waiting until it is either further discounted or available used can save you a lot of money.
  • Rent a video game before you buy it to make sure you like it. Game Fly and Red Box offer great game rental options.
  • Trade games with friends can be a great way to get the opportunity to try out more games and share the cost. Make sure you are finding a reliable friend to swap games with though. You want to make sure you will get them back and in the same shape, you loaned them in.

Hopefully, some of these ideas will help you to save some money this holiday season. A hobby like gaming does not have to cost you a fortune so why spend a fortune. You can save a little extra money now and have more funds saved for your next big gaming system.

It’s looking as though the PlayStation 5 will be released sometime in 2020 for all of you who love PlayStation.

Ok so to clear up one thing that Andrea missed. Along with the PS5, Microsoft will also be releasing their new console next year. Right now the code name for it is the Project Scarlett. So this would be the last the holiday that you would see any deals on them until the next holiday when the new consoles arrive. There probably will be some deals on them some time in 2020. But if you want them for this holiday season there are some bundles going on that you may want to check out. Especially for Sony. And they have many of their first party games at really good prices if you are looking to collect them.

As for Microsoft if physical media isn’t a big deal to you I would seriously consider the Xbox One S All Digital (S.A.D.). Right now there are tons of the deals on Xbox Games Pass. This is a great way to experience most of what Microsoft has to offer for a great monthly price. If you look at the right place you can get the first three months for $1.

As for Nintendo. I didn’t see too many deals going on with them. Just the same bundle I saw last year the Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. But beware it is the old model Switch. Not the newer one with the longer battery life. But that’s ok if you don’t plan on playing it in handheld mode that much. And if you do you can always just get an external battery pack. It’ll come out in handy for that and all your other electronic devices

Now my pick for the one store to go to if you take my advice and go to one store is Target. I feel like they are having some of the best sales on some of the most recent games that just came. And they are having a sale on some first party Nintendo games which you don’t really see ever until the console life is over. So definitely check out Target for Black Friday. I got my eyes on Need For Speed: Heat for the PS4. Only $35 and guess what? It just came out earlier this month.

So I ask you guys! Any deals out there that you all plan on jumping on? Anything that me or Andrea may have miss? Let us know in the comments below. Until next time. Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! Remember that TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE! Thanks for reading folks. Stay safe this weekend. Wishing you a happy holiday.
