Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! The Price of the PlayStation Classic just keeps on dropping. If you look at the right places you could get it for as low as $40. I finally couldn’t resist anymore so I caved in and purchased one. I probably won’t be opening it up anytime soon but if you really want one they are much cheaper now than ever before.
So right now they are on sale at Best Buy for a retail price of $39.99 here in the states. I have heard that Costco has had sales on them as well. At other places they are still $59.99 and that is a bit too much for my blood. I would’ve loved to see the thing dropped to $20 but I don’t think that is happening. And if it does drop that low I feel that retailers will just be having a clearance sale trying to get rid of the units. And I’m usually bad at getting to those. So I figured I would get one now rather than waiting until later.
So why did I buy the PS1 Classic you ask? To hack it of course! LOL! It gives me a project to work on later on down the line sometime this year. And if you do purchase one I would hope you would want to hack yours also. I’m still disappointed with what they came up for the lineup of games for this mini console. I also thought it was a bit puzzling it didn’t come with a power brick but I got plenty of those laying around. Even though I got one I can say that I’m happy I didn’t spend $100 on the thing. And if you did spend that much on it when it first came out I feel sorry for you. I was very skeptical when doing my research on the thing. Sony should really take lessons from Nintendo on how to put together a mini console.
The hacking technology for the PS1 Classic has gotten better over the past few months. There are a ton of videos you can watch on YouTube if you want to learn about Bleem Sync and hacking the PS1 Classic. I know of quite a bit titles I want to add to it but I’m not going to put on the whole library like some people are. But if you want to do that knock yourself out.
I just wanted to put this post out and let you guys know that the prices for the PS1 Classic have been getting cheaper. If you are interested in getting one definitely go for. So I ask people are you going to buy one now or does it need to get a little cheaper? And if you do buy it are you going to hack it? What games will you put on it? What games should Sony have put on it? Let me know in the comments below! Until next time blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! Remember that TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE! Thanks for reading folks and keep on gaming gamerz!
Costco in Canada at one point had them as low as $30 Canadian, or about $22.50 US. At this point, the average price is $70 CAD. It launched at $130 CAD here. How the mighty have fallen.
