Analogue’s Super Nt

Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL. Happy Sunday folks! Got some great news for you retro gamers out there. So even though the SNES Classic Edition has been selling like hotcakes I do understand that not everyone is going to want to buy one. It could be because that gamer has all those games already and is still actively playing their SNES, or they could just be against the whole emulation thing and that’s ok. Emulation isn’t for everybody I feel. But with this device I’m about to talk about you may want to give it a try if you have your original SNES games lying around.

This device is Analogue’s Super Nt. This company put out the Mini Nt that you can play old NES games on in HD, and now they’ve done the same for SNES games with the Super Nt. The fact that you can play this in HD means you don’t have to get any converters  to plug in your original hardware to a modern TV or keep your old CRT TV laying around to play your favorite classic retro games on original hardware. You can plug it up to your TV, pop in your favorite game and start playing. Make sure you do get the firmware update before you start playing though.

Analogue also teamed up with 8bitdo to give you some excellent Bluetooth lag free controllers to use with the console along with their retro receivers. I’m sure you can use your original controllers but it’s 2018 and I feel everyone should be utilizing bluetooth so you won’t have the old messy tangled controllers. Unless you are into that kind of thing. And keep in mind they are bluetooth controllers so you can also use them for on other devices such as a Mac, PC, Android, and even the Nintendo Switch.

I don’t plan on getting this device myself (since my SNES games are with a friend) but if you are interested definitely check out their website. They have four different styles you can choose from. The classic North American purple style, the Famicom and European colored style, a black one and even a clear one. I wouldn’t recommend the clear one however because the way you get it isn’t the way it is pictured. But the other three styles look legit. But just don’t take my word for it I recommend doing your research and due diligence before buying. Right now the Super Nt’s are listed at a price of $189.99. You can also get the 8bitdo controllers from them as well. Looks like the only one you can pre-order the black one for right now, but I’m sure the other three will be in stock very soon. Just reach out to them and ask.

So I figured I would just share this information with you guys in case you were looking for a way to play some old SNES games and if you have the games. Whether it’s been hard for you to come across an SNES Classic, or again if you are not a fan of the whole emulation thing and want to play these games the way they were meant to be played then this option is for you. Once again here is a link to their website. Let me know in the comments below if you are gonna buy one or are interested in one. Blogging live to you and yours! It’s TWOTALL4UFOOL. Remember that TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE! Thanks for reading folks and I’ll catch you all next time!

    1. Duck Hunt was on the NES. So that game wouldn’t work with the Super Nt since that plays SNES games. But if you go their website they have the Mini Nt that does play NES games. I’m not sure Duck Hunt would work though since it required the use of the NES Zapper. I’m not 100% sure if that would work on a modern day TV.
