What’s going on kind folks out there? Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! Coming back at cha for the first time in almost two months. I took a bit of a hiatus you can say. A lot has transpired since I last spoke to you guys. A lot of things from a New Switch announcement to more release dates for games coming out in the fall and beyond. A lot of serious stuff has happened too and with that video games is once again being blamed for something it shouldn’t be. Aside from all that I’ve picked up new games and new gadgets that I plan on sharing with you later on down the line. But today I want to give you my thoughts on if it is the right time for you to buy a Switch. And that means you!
So let me categorize everybody. I’ll make it simple. Those that don’t have the Switch and those that do have one. So in case you haven’t heard Nintendo earlier this month put out a Switch with longer battery life. So you can say it’s Nintendo’s first revision of their console. The battery is suppose to last about 4.5-9 hours now. Here’s a link to Nintendo’s spec website if you want to learn more. And to make matters more interesting Nintendo will be launching a Switch Lite scheduled to come out September 20th (that’s going to be a pretty expensive day for a lot of people). The Switch Lite is going to be handheld only, undockable, have a d-pad, and 3-7 hour battery life. Here’s a link to Nintendo’s Switch Lite section if you want to learn more. It appears that Nintendo is about to kill off the 3DS. They say they are still going to make games for it but let’s get real. With it being priced at $199 we know the audience Nintendo is going after.
So let me address the people who don’t have a Switch (but eventually does want one). Now I know there is that audience of people who is waiting for the “Switch Pro”/more powerful Switch. It appears that it won’t be coming out this year. If it was it would’ve already been announced. If you are waiting for that one you’ll be waiting a little bit longer. And you can wait but you’ll be missing out on awesome titles. If you want something to hold you over I suggest getting a Switch Lite in the meantime. And if they do put out the more powerful Switch it’ll be a bit less money if you decide to trade it in. If you don’t want the more powerful Switch then just go ahead and buy it now. What are you waiting for?
And for those people who have a Switch. Let’s start with if you share that Switch. If you share it you should buy another one. Maybe a Switch Lite but I feel if you are a full time gamer you should have your own Switch. If you have kids that play the Switch then you should definitely look to get your kids a Switch Lite. But if you have a normal Switch and looking to get the recent revision I personally wouldn’t. After all the reviews I saw on the thing you are only getting a few more hours of battery life. Now it depends on how you play. If you never take it off your dock you definitely shouldn’t get it. But if you do play in handheld mode a lot I feel you should really invest in a power bank battery. A lot of them are out there and very inexpensive. I use one for my Switch along with some of my other devices and I love it. I understand that there are some consumers that will just buy it regardless if they need it or not but I figured I would put in my 2 cents on the situation.
Anyway I got a lot of tech reviews coming up. I have a ton of new controllers, a tablet I just recently modded, and of course some news games I want to share with you guys.
