Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! I’m always intrigued by learning the voices behind my favorite cartoon show characters. Well any show or movie really. If I have a strong liking to that show or movie and I think that the voice actor is really good I like to do my research and find out who that actor is and find out what else they have been in. But some of these shows I’ve watched as a kid believe it or not the voice actor is more famous than you actually think. Right now I am going to go through a list of actors that you had no idea were voice actors. This should be real fun.
Tom Bosley: May him rest in peace. He’s been on TV for many years. We remember him best as Mr. Howard Cunningham. But little do people know that he was a voice actor. As matter of fact if you watched Nick Jr. back in the day he was the voice of David The Gnome on the show The World of David The Gnome. One of my favorite Nick Jr. shows actually. And if you listen to his voice you can totally tell that it was Bosley behind the voice. Who knew that Mr. Cunningham and David The Gnome were the same guy?
Mark Hamill: We know that Hamill is the jedi Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars movies. But he also played a voice in another huge franchise. The Batman franchise. On the show Batman: The Animated Series he played the voice of the Joker. And if you ever watched that show he was damn good at it. So good at it that he’s played him again in movies, and in video games such as the Arkham video games. Pretty cool right? While you were playing Batman Arkham Asylum when hearing the Joker’s voice you had know idea that was Luke Skywalker right?
Don Adams: Ok so people probably know this guy. Maybe it’s more like you didn’t know what sitcom he was on. Back in the 1960’s he was on the sitcom Get Smart where he plays the agent Maxwell Smart (Agent 86). In the mid 1980’s he voiced the character of similar character by the name of Inspector Gadget on the show Inspector Gadget. It’s my all time favorite cartoon show by the way. If you ever watched Get Smart and Inspector Gadget you probably figured that Maxwell Smart, and Inspector Gadget had a similar resemblance in their personality. We Adams made that happen for both characters. Thank you Don you are missed.
Jaleel White: What do Steve Urkel and Sonic The Hedgehog have in common? Jaleel White. We know him as America’s Favorite Nerd Steve Urkel from the sitcom Family Matters but he also did a bit of voice work back in the 90’s as well. He voiced Sonic The Hedgehog in not just one but three Sonic shows. Don’t believe me! Check out an episode on Netflix and I’m sure he’ll sound just like Urkel. Or maybe just like White. I forget that the Urkel voice isn’t his real voice. LOL!
James Avery: We all know this guy as Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. But before he got that role he was the villain on a very popular cartoon show during that time. He voiced Shredder on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987). And if you look at reruns of this show you could totally tell it was him. Avery had actually been a voice actor not just on that show but other shows during that time as well. Look at his profile. You’ll probably see some shows he was on that you had no idea he lent his voice for. You’re missed Uncle Phil thank you for the memories.
So I thought it would be cool just share this information with you guys. I know some of you out there had no idea of this and were definitely shocked by this discovery. If you did know about these guys being voice actors then you probably know of some more. If I left anyone out let me know in the comments below. Until next time! Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! Remember that TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE! Thanks for reading and keep coming back for more great content! Latez!
