Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! My very first post on this blog was about cross-platform play and how Sony didn’t want to play well with others. If you are interested in checking it out click here. For this post however I wanted to give my reaction to Sony still not wanting to join in on the cross-platform play and what they are doing that are making many people upset. I feel they are missing out and the people suffering the consequences are the gamers on the Sony platform.
So with Fortnite coming to the Nintendo Switch you are able to cross-platform play with users on the Xbox One, Windows 10 and mobile. However if you want to use your Epic Games account and have it linked to your PlayStation Network account guess what? You will have to make a new one. Sony is blocking anyone that has an Epic Games linked to their PlayStation Network Account from using it on other platforms. So if you were playing Fortnite on the PS4 and now want to play it on the Switch you pretty much have to make a new account if you want to play on that platform. Really Sony? That’s just messed up. I know you are king of the mountain right now. I’ve been a supporter of you guys for years but if you make a mistake people will turn on you Sony! Remember the rough start you all had when the PS3 came out. Do the right thing and stop this and allow cross-platform play. Gamers want it and I still feel it is the future.
I love Nintendo’s response to all this madness! They put out a YouTube video featuring the Xbox One promoting Minecraft. I think that the trailer was clever and it couldn’t have come out at a better time. Even though it is a different game Minecraft is another game where gamers can utilize cross-platform play. But my real question is can Sony really not let people use their Epic Games account on other platforms? Epic Games is a third party developer so it’s not like Sony owns them. We know what this is really about Sony (the $money$). You are winning the console war for this generation. Why are you guys being so greedy? I know you have the best first party IPs but come on! It’s not right and hope the people over at Epic Games fight this. Even if Sony doesn’t want to cross-platform play with Nintendo or Microsoft they should let gamers use their account on whatever platform they desire. They shouldn’t be locked out. It’s not fair to the gamer. Now it seems like Sony is having a hard time getting on board with this but I still stand by that it is the future of gaming and we will see this more and more for years to come. Aside from Fortnite, and Minecraft other games you can use cross-platform play are Rocket League, and Paladins Battelgrounds.
Anyway I want to know how do you the people feel about this situation? Do you agree with what Sony is doing or do you think it’s bogus? Let me know in the comments below. As always! Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! Remember that TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIVES MORE! Thanks for reading folks. Here’s the video from Nintendo’s YouTube below.
Honestly, I rarely play my PS3 and don’t even have a PS4 (yet) so I don’t care what Sony does in the meantime. I did love the Twitter conversation between Xbox and Nintendo though… that made me laugh!

Though I will say they should just hop on the bandwagon. I mean, what do they have to lose?
