Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL. Are you a fan of a game to the point where you would pay $100 for it, if it’s a limited edition and the game is on let’s say the NES, and SNES? Well if you are a big Mega Man fan then you might want to keep reading. Capcom is teaming up with iam8bit.com to put out limited editions of Mega Man 2 for the NES and Mega Man X for the SNES. In case you guys didn’t know it’s Mega Man’s 30th Year Anniversary so Capcom is also doing other stuff as well such as putting out Mega Man 11, bringing the Mega Man Collection 1 & 2 over to the Switch, and putting out a new Mega Man X Collection.
So what comes with this? It will include the game in which the cartridge color will be opaque light blue if you get Mega Man 2 or opaque white if you get Mega Man X. One in every eight boxes will include a glow in the dark blue cartridge. The cartridge is playable being able to work on your original NES/SNES or even knock off/after market console if you have one of those. It will also come with a dual fold box with foil, gloss, and embossments. A premium instruction booklet, and retro pack-in surprises will also be included. The distribution of the cartridges will be random. Only 8500 of these are being made for each game. With 1000 of each being glow in the dark. It will be totally random if you get a glow in the dark cartridge. The price is set for $100 each and pre-orders have already started. Shipping will begin in late September 2018.
Wow! I’m just blown away. These are going to sale like hotcakes people. You better get them while supplies last. Now I wasn’t the biggest Mega Man fan growing up but both these games are some of the best in the entire franchise. So I feel Capcom made the correct decisions on what games to re-release. iam8bit has team up with Capcom before as they put out the Street Fighter II (30th Year Anniversary Edition) last year. But it looks like more Mega Man games are being made for their 30th year anniversary. I usually don’t buy these but picking up at least one of these is very tempting. I’m not going to lie. If I were to pick up one it would have to be Mega Man 2. It’s the only Mega Man game I’ve beaten (even though it was on an emulator) and the blue cartridge looks better than the white (Mega Man X). But if I do go for it and buy it I want that glow in the dark cartridge.
So I just wanted to inform you guys of this development. Are you going to be picking one of these, or both of these up? Would you like to see a limited edition of your favorite game from the past re-released? Any wishlists? Let me know in the comments below. Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL!
