Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL. The Electronics and Entertainment Expo better known as E3 is coming this June. So why am I talking about it now in February? Because tickets go on sale this coming Monday. Like last year it is open to the general public once again. One general admission ticket will be $249 for all 3 days with the first 1000 people getting $100 off making it $149 for them. That’s a pretty sweet deal if you ask me. If you are a passionate gamer such as myself I would highly recommend going to this event if you can. Even if you go once. It’s just incredible to see what games they have to demo at this event. Let me tell you a little bit about my E3 experience.
Two years ago a friend of mine and I scored some tickets to go to a event called E3 live. Two years ago E3 wasn’t open to the public so E3 wanted to do something for the general public so they put together this event. My buddy and were so hyped for this event thinking we had finally made it to E3. An event we have been wanting to go to for years. It was at L.A. Live right across the street from the Staples Center. When we got there we were a bit disappointed. The games (they few that they had) were wack. The virtual reality game we played was also wack and there just wasn’t a whole lot to do. And won several day passes for this event. Yeah no thanks! We just went about that next day like it was a normal day.
Now fast forward to last year. Tickets went on sale we purchased them and E3 Live from that previous year was an after thought. I had so much fun for the three days I went last year that it is worth going again. I got to demo quite a bit of games, see some awesome trailers for upcoming games, and meet some cool new friends as well. And I got a lot of swag while I was there as well. Now if I do go again this year I’ll be a little more prepared. With yours truly having a Nintendo Switch it gives me something to do while waiting in line. I can also play the my 3DS or my GPD XD. I have quite a bit of choices. This year I’ll also bring a power charging bank, and perhaps sneak some snacks and beer in as well. Convention Center food and drinks are so expensive. And having a power charging bank can save me the trouble of having to look for a plug to charge my phone. I recommend everyone bring that. You can get them for about $20 off of Amazon. There may be a lot of people and lines may be real long but as long as you are with people you like having a good time and remember why you are there you don’t even think about it.
There may be some people who will try to tell you, ‘to many people were there’, ‘lines are too long’, etc,. There are cons to everything but last year was the first year in many years E3 opened up their convention to the public. I’m sure they learned a lot and one thing I think they’ll do this year is make it more roomy for people, and maybe trim down the amount of tickets they sell to the public this year. Just a little prediction I have but then again I don’t think that E3 wants to miss out on that money especially if the price is the same as last year. I would think that the developers who showcase their games at this event would want the public at this event because it’s the public that’ll be buying and playing these games. I could see writers who work for publications not being happy about the event being full (since they have to wait in line with everyone else), but YouTubers and streamers I feel have no right to complain because it gets to the classic question of ‘Who are you?’. But I feel E3 will take feedback from last year and use it to make improvements to this year’s show. We can only hope right?
Anyway I figured I would share my thoughts on E3. If you are thinking about going or on the bubble about going I would encourage you to do it. Especially if you live in the L.A. area, or Southern California just give it a chance. You are in for a three days of guaranteed fun, and what better way to do it buy playing demos of upcoming video games. Tickets go on sale Monday Feb. 12th and the event runs from Jun. 12th-14th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Be ready Monday morning to get $100 off your ticket if you are lucky. Good luck! Blogging live to you and yours! It’s been TWOTALL4UFOOL. Remember TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE! Thanks for reading folks and hope to see you at E3.
