Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! I was thinking about putting something together a while back for this post but I’m glad I waited. So apparently rumors have been swirling around that another Wii U port is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Yay! LOL! So let’s recap so far the Wii U ports we’ve seen come to the Switch so far this year. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze which was a good choice. I picked it up and I’ve been all over it. And the other one was Captain Toad Treasure Tracker which is a game that I can care less about. I’ve seen reviews and as some may say it looks good it looks lame to others. No I’m not picking that game up. If I’m forgetting any let me know in the comments. So the next rumored game according to almost all video game media outlets that is being ported to the Switch from the Wii U is New Super Mario Bros. U. It was a launch title for the Wii U and I’ll definitely be getting it. According to Comic Book it’ll go under a new name New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe which will have the New Super Luigi U content, and more. So that brings me to a question I’ve been wanting to ask! Is the Nintendo Switch getting too many ports from the Wii U?
Now there are two sides to this. Those who had the Wii U and those that didn’t. The Wii U only sold 13.5 million units. The Switch hasn’t even been out two years and it’s already passed that. And Nintendo hopes to sell as many Switches as they can. They are even talking about getting two in a household which is a smart business strategy because of its portability. So if you had a Wii U and are getting frustrated with all these ports. All I can say is …. I’m sorry I guess. But there were quite a bit of games on Nintendo’s last gen console that really deserve a second shot because of the horrible sales the Wii U brought in. I may sound like a broken record when I say this but “NOT EVERYONE HAD A WII U”. So as far as I’m concerned they can port over the whole library of the Wii U to the Switch. It may bother some but I feel it wouldn’t bother many. I for one didn’t make a bad investment in purchasing a Wii U.
So what other games can Nintendo port over to the Switch? I know they won’t do the whole library but I’m sure you can still find a few games that they’ll do. They have to Super Mario 3D World. I played Super Mario 3D Land on my 3DS and that game was amazing. So I can only imagine how 3D World would be. Another one I’ve been hearing is Super Mario Maker. But I’ve also heard they may just do a Super Mario Maker 2. Which would make sense. They could put more in the game I feel. Another Wii U game I would like to see ported is Xenoblade Chronicles X. I’ve heard nothing but good things about that game. So come on Nintendo. Give the fans what they want!
So what are your thoughts on Wii U ports to the Switch? Are there too many? Are you getting frustrated with it? Can you care less? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time! I was a proud Wii U owner and I am all for the ports. It is great to see all these amazing games get a second chance.
