Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! I watched a lot of Nickelodeon as a kid as some of you may know but I did show the Disney Channel some love in my early to late teens. Some of the original programming was alright but what I really enjoyed about the Disney Channel was the Disney Channel Original Movies. Now these days they seem to come out with one or two a year, but when I was a teenager they put out one a month it seemed like. Or one every two months. I don’t know. Just Google it and I’m sure you can find out the frequency of when Disney Channel Original Movies were premiering on the Disney Channel. Now there have been a lot of these movies that have premiered over the years. For this post I’m going to talk about my top five DCOM in no particular order. After that I’ll also name some honorable mentions. Are you ready? Let’s dive right in.

Under_Wraps_dcom

Under Wraps: The first DCOM and in my opinion the best Halloween movie on the channel. It’s much better than that other movie that had three sequels or whatever. It was about three kids that come across a mummy in a “dead” man’s house. It’s full laughs and great adventure. If you love everything associated with Halloween and adventure you are sure to like this movie.

Disney_-_You_Lucky_Dog

You Lucky Dog: Kirk Cameron was one of my favorite actors growing up. He was hilarious in this movie. It was about an old dude who died and left his fortune to his dog lucky. Cameron’s character who played a dog therapist was the trustee to his will and agrees to move into the mansion where Lucky’s owner lived. James Avery (Uncle Phil) is in this movie as well. Full of laughs and I feel if you check it out you’ll be very entertained.

Disney_-_Brink

Brink!: With in-line skating (rollerblading) being very popular in the late 90’s this movie was pretty much made for its time. It’s about a crew of skaters who rollerblade for fun. When they come across skaters who skate for money (essentially a sellout) it’s trouble between the two crews. Erik von Detten plays Andy “Brink” Brinker and has a decision to make. Skate for fun, or sellout and skate for the money. Even if your family really needs the money? Whether you like skating or not I feel this movie teaches you about real friendship. I feel we don’t see that enough in movies these days. Well at least the ones I watch. Great movie. If you don’t remember it look it up.

Genius_dcom_poster

Genius: Imagine you are a 12 or 13 year old genius and you are a college professor. But you just want to make friends with kids that are your own age without being made fun of. Well you can just enroll yourself at the local middle school and discover a whole new side to yourself. That’s what boy genius Charlie Doyle did in this movie. I really enjoyed it. If you like ice skating and hockey it has that too. Another well made movie from my childhood.

Hounded_promo_poster

Hounded: The last movie to round up my top five DCOMs. This movie was about a two brothers Jay and Mike trying to get a dog back to the headmaster of Jay’s school. The dog named Camilie follows him home after he brook into the headmaster’s son’s pool house to look for evidence of a presentation he stole for a scholarship opportunity. This movie is loaded with laughs in my opinion. Tahj Mowry and Shia LaBeouf are in this one and both actors do great in the movie.

Below are honorable mentions I figured I would put my two cents in.

Disney_-_The_Luck_of_the_Irish

The Luck of The Irish: Pretty funny if you love St. Patrick’s Day.

Disney_-_Alley_Cats_Strike

Alley Cats Strike: Ever wish your school had a bowling team? Well this school has one. And the most popular kid in the school is also on it.

Johnnytsunamifilm

Johnny Tsunami: Skiiing or snowboarding? Which one is better? You decide!

The Even Stevens Movie: The movie and conclusion to the series. My favorite series on Disney Channel and the movie was pretty good despite that Beans guy.

So those are my top five Disney Channel Original Movies along with some movies I thought were worth mentioning. What were your favorite Disney Channel Original Movies? Let me know in the comments below. Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! Remember that TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE! Thanks for reading folks. I’ll catch you next time. 1. I sure do but do you remember the wonderful world of Disney? It used to air on Sunday nights when I was a kid and we watched it every Sunday night for years. I still think back to that sometimes and how happy I was as a kid to find out what movie would air that night. They were usually movies like Pollyanna, the shaggy dog and Parent trap the older ones with the real people in them.
