Initial Thoughts: Shortly after I got my Nintendo Switch I looked at the different titles coming out and this game caught my eye. I was looking for a racing game to get into and not being very impressed with the latest Need For Speed game I decided to give this game a try. There’s plenty of content in this game so quite impressed when I got my hands on it.
Description: It’s interesting how you start out this game. There are a bunch of different races or what they call championships that you compete in. The further you get in the game the more championships you unlock. There are different level classes starting with A1, A2, etc,. Then it goes to B, C, etc,. I’m on D right now. I’m sure it keeps going until you unlock all the the classes. However many may they have. So when you start off they walk you through a tutorial. You choose your car then it’s off to the races. They have plenty of cars you can choose from when you move from class to class. Too many to name but definitely the more popular cars such as Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and BMW. After winning races you get money and go to your Performance Center and pay for different shops that you can use to increase the performance of your car. The more races you do and the more money you get the more you can add. You can even decorate the shop as well and put in sofas, plants, arcade games, and so much more. The races are unique too. They are not long at all. Only about a minute. I think the longest race has been about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes long. I like this model because if you play other games it makes it possible to jump on for about 30 minutes and get about 5-6 races done. Possibly even more. The downside to it however is that there is no open world so there is no driving to different races. A nice big world as it is would’ve been great if it was true open world racing game. And there is no traffic while you are racing also. I don’t know how you guys feel about that but me personally I like to have a little bit of traffic. It makes it bit more challenging while racing. Overall if you are looking for a great game for the Nintendo Switch you should definitely check this game out. Especially if you are into racing games. It features that classic arcade style of racing and I feel you won’t be disappointed.
Final Thoughts: Besides no open world and no traffic I felt there wasn’t too much bad I could say about this game. The only thing about it is that the more you rank up each of your cars it can be a bit too easy. You could increase the difficulty if you choose to do so but my thoughts on racing games is it is just right or too easy. But if you can find it for the right price definitely try it out and you be the judge.
My Score: I give this game a 7/10. Not perfect but worth you definitely trying out.
Video Gameplay Footage: Update 2/21. I made a new video for the gameplay footage. I had another one ready to go but it was with a new device. I need to get the bugs worked out of that thing. Anyway here’s the footage.
