NES Games That Need To Be Added To The Nintendo Switch In 2019

Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! I can honestly say that with a few months of the Nintendo Switch Online Service being out I’m not a big fan so far. They need to do a couple of things to make it better. Add SNES games to it and improve the voice chat would be a start. While those are discussions I’ll rant about another time they need to add some more NES games. Or just add all of them and be done with. Well I know that won’t happen (due to licensing and other reasons) but I do have a short list of NES games that Nintendo should add to their online. Some of these games I like. Some of the games I’m not the biggest fan of but I know many of you would like to see them on the Switch. Let’s get into it.

Metal Gear: It wasn’t the most popular NES game but it is the first appearance of Snake. And he is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I’m sure many people would love to play this NES Classic. It is a bit of a challenge let me tell you.

Super Mario Bros. 2: Why hasn’t this made it to the Switch yet? It’s a Mario game! I’m serious!

Tetris: Everyone loves Tetris. Why not put this classic puzzle game online so many fans old and young can enjoy this game.

Kirby Adventure: I’m sure this game will be added some time this year. While I’m not the biggest Kirby I know that there are plenty of you that love this franchise. Come on Nintendo. This should’ve been on the service from the start.

Yoshi’s Cookie: I’ve fooled around with this game a few times. I may do a retro game review on it later this year. So keep reading for any updates. One thing I do know is that it is better than Yoshi. Come on. If you can put Yoshi on then you can certainly put on Yoshi’s Cookie.

Castlevania: A bit surprised that none of the Castlevania games hasn’t been put on the service just yet. One of the best 3rd party games for the NES.

Mega Man: Another great 3rd party series that hasn’t been announced for the online service just yet. I’m sure one of the titles will make its way sometime this year. We can only hope.

Those are just a few of the NES games I feel need to be on the Nintendo Switch Online Service in 2019. But at the same time people want to play these old retro games and aside from the NES and SNES Classics Nintendo hasn’t done a very good job of that since the Switch has been out. In my opinion based on what I’ve seen so far they really need to bring back the Virtual Console. Hopefully we get some more information on what’s going this month on the next Nintendo Direct.

Anyway what are your thoughts on NES games that should be added to Switch? Do you have a list of games you would like to see? Any additional thoughts on the Nintendo Switch Online service? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time! Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL! Remember that TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE! Thanks for reading folks. Keep coming back for more great content.

  1. Well looks like they announced two games for the month of January. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and Blaster Master. Good games but…… can we move on to SNES already? What Nintendo is doing here I feel is just bad!

  2. Great post! I want Switch to have a Metal Gear Solid or Castlevania compilation, especially Castlevania: Bloodlines from the Sega Genesis. Speaking of games that need to be added to the Nintendo Switch, the Ninja Turtles games from Konami would be great too. It would be cool to have the Genesis, SNES and NES Turtle games on Switch.

    1. TMNT ain’t going to happen. Trust me it’s on everyone’s wishlist. It all comes down to licensing with that. But having some Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania compilations would be great.
