Gamers Confession Tag

Blogging live to you and yours! It’s your boy TWOTALL4UFOOL. I got this post from a fellow gamer blogger Michelle from A Geek Girl’s Guide. I was reading through her post the Gamers Confession Tag and it looked pretty cool. So I figured I wanted to play along. So I’m going to do my best to answer these questions. If you want to play along feel free to copy and do it. And let me know in the comments below so I can follow along and see your answers. With that being said here we go!

A game everyone loves that you can’t stand:

Hmmm…. there are several of these. Let me keep to a game more recent. Right now it would have to be Fortnite. A lot of people I know play this. They say they have so much fun doing so. I just can’t stand it. I tried it. It felt like Overwatch combined with Minecraft. I feel the two games just don’t mix.

A game that you love, but no one else seems to:

wwe 2k

For me it would have to be the WWE 2K series. I don’t know a whole lot of people that play these games. I know these games have gone down the water since 2K took over a few years ago. But I always enjoy creating my own characters, shows, and titles and going at it against wrestlers I don’t like. Come on people! Any WWE fans out there?

An older game you haven’t finished, and probably never will:

ff3

You said older so I’m going to take it way back! Final Fantasy III (or VI) for the SNES. It’s on SNES Classic Edition which I have but I probably still won’t give it another go. I got up to that final point and I just couldn’t beat it. And I was spending too much time trying, and trying, and trying to the point where I didn’t want to play it anymore. If you haven’t played it though I highly recommend it. Especially if you have the SNES Classic Edition.

A guilty pleasure game:

tetris

Tetris. Regardless if it is on the NES, my phone, or my PS4 it’s just a game that never gets old. If I’m looking to kill some time I play that. I don’t play it as much as I used to but as long as that game has been around I’m always mesmorized by what improvements are made when a new version of the game comes out. Every gamer I feel should give Tetris a try.

A game you really love but haven’t played in a long time:

need for speed hp

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. I’m bummed that it’s not available on PS Now otherwise I would pay for that subscription. I had it on my PS3 but then I sold it and PS3 is now in storage. If I ever resurrect my PS3 out of storage then I will go on a manhunt for this game. LOL! It’s one of my favorites in the entire series and I just feel the series hasn’t been the same after they released this one.

A game you never play seriously but others do:

Probably any Call of Duty game. I feel that there are so many people that just want to win and are upset when they don’t. I look at it like this. As long as I’m having fun I don’t care who wins. I mean it would be nice to win but I’m not going to break my controller if I don’t.

A game you completed but hated it by the end:

This goes to Infamous 2. It was enjoyable through out but by the time I got to the end of it I was just over it. Really over the series in general. Probably the reason why I haven’t played Infamous Second Son yet.

A game you thought you’d enjoy, but didn’t:

Gran Turismo 5. I thought I could get into the whole simulator racing thing but after playing for an hour I knew that the game wasn’t for me. I ended up taking it back to GameStop the very next day. Thank god I bought it pre-owned.

A game you didn’t think was for you, and then loved:

assassins creed

I would have to go with the original Assassin’s Creed! I would hear people talk about the game and thought to myself (it’s not my kind of game). But then when I picked it up and played it I was hooked. It made me play 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations. Those are the best in the series in my opinion.

A game you are still excited for that hasn’t come out yet:

The next big Triple-A release I’m looking forward to is Far Cry 5. I was checking out some of the game play and I was really impressed with it. I really want to give this game a go. It comes out around the end of the month so hopefully by the end of April I have a game review up for you guys with my recommendations, and thoughts.

    1. Yeah some people spend 24/7 on those first person shooters. I eventually came to the realization that all those games are the same. Some of those guys should mix it up in the games they play.

  1. Funnily enough, the game I would’ve answered for “An older game you haven’t finished, and probably never will” is the real Final Fantasy III, which was remade for the DS. I made it to the end of the game, but I wasn’t able to get past the absolutely grueling gauntlet that is the final dungeon, which requires grinding an absurd amount of levels to stand a chance. Oh, and you have to beat multiple bosses in a row. Lose to any of them, and you must start over from the beginning of the dungeon, and each attempt takes about an hour, which includes watching a prolonged cutscene. One failed attempt was enough to convince me that I had done all I could with the game. All in all, it was a great game for its time, but it has aged very poorly.
